Suspicious house fires Gagebrook

In the early hours of Thursday 22 August 2013 three separate house fires occurred in the Gagebrook area. All fires have been deemed suspicious.

At 12:45am, Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) and Tasmania Police responded to a structural fire at Briar Crescent, Gagebrook. The building sustained major fire damage as a result. The occupants of the property were not home at the time; however two dogs trapped in the residence perished.

Approximately 10 minutes later a second fire was reported at Tottenham Road, Gagebrook, which is an unoccupied residence subjected to previous arson attacks.


Whilst fire investigators were conducting investigations into the fires, a third fire was located at Deak Street, Gagebrook.  The property sustained minor fire damage.
