Approximately 10:15pm on Wednesday 16th May 2012, Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) responded to a house fire at Tollard Drive, Rokeby.  The fire was extinguished by fire officers soon after arrival. 

The premises is a private rental property, which at the time of the fire was vacant. The residence had been subject to a previous arson attack that occurred on the 30th April 2012.

The cause of the fire is suspicious and the premises sustained extensive fire damage.  Damage is estimated at $200,000.

The fire is being investigated by the Eastern District Criminal Investigation Branch.
