Suspicious House Fire, Bridgewater
At approximately 6:50am on Monday 5th March 2012, Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) responded to a house fire at Walker Crescent, Bridgewater. The fire was extinguished by Fire Officers soon after arrival.
The premises is owned by Housing Tasmania and was tenanted at the time.
The cause of the fire is thought to be suspicious. The premises sustained extensive fire damage, estimated at $90,000.
The fire is being investigated by the Eastern District Criminal Investigation Branch, with a detailed scene examination to occur today including enquiries in the local area.

There is a reward of up to $10,000 from Housing Tasmania through Crime Stoppers, for information that leads to the prosecution of offenders for this fire.
