Tasmania Police is investigating two deliberately lit fires at Midland Truck and Bus over the weekend.

On Saturday 7 April around 7.40pm, two trucks in the business compound were targeted, with one being completely destroyed by fire.

On Sunday 8 April around 8.30pm, entry was gained to a building at the premises and another truck was destroyed by fire.  The building and other trucks inside sustained smoke and heat damage.

Detectives, Forensic Services and Tasmania Fire Service fire scene examiners are investigating the matter.

At this stage of the investigation, both fires have been deemed deliberate. The value of the damage is not yet known.
