Kingston CIB detectives are investigating the cause of a fire at “The Mangle” Laundrette at John Street, Kingston near Kingston Plaza. The fire occurred at 6.40pm on Saturday 2 October 2010.

Approximately $10,000 damage was caused. People residing in a flat above the premises were not injured. The fire was attended to within a short time by police and fire service personnel who quickly controlled the fire.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the premises prior to the fire. Kingston Police can be contacted on 62118003. Information can be left anonymously.
