Police would like to hear from witnesses who may have seen someone in or near the Hooked Cafe in High Street, Campbell Town, around 2.30am.

Fire investigations are continuing into the cause and it does appear to be suspicious.

The blaze was confined to the cafe and damage is estimated at about $300,000.
