Suspicious fire at Clarendon Vale

At approximately 5.40pm on Monday 12 March 2012, Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) responded to a house fire at 13 Dyer Place, Clarendon Vale.  The fire was extinguished by Fire Officers soon after arrival. 

The premises are private property, which had only just been vacated earlier that day.

The cause of the fire is suspicious and the premises sustained extensive fire damage.  Damage is estimated at $150,000.

The fire is being investigated by the Eastern District Criminal Investigation Branch.  A detailed scene examination has occurred, and includes on going enquires in the local area.
