Police are investigating a deliberately lit fire in Chichester Drive, Devonport, on Tuesday evening.

Around 10pm last night, Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service were called to a reported fire at a unit in Chichester Drive, Devonport. However, the fire was extinguished before they arrived. Subsequent examinations have determined the fire to be deliberately lit.

The fire caused minor damage estimated around $1,000.
