On Sunday the 15^th of May 2016, at around 2.23pm, Police were notified of a house fire at 769 Primrose Sands Road, Primrose Sands. Tas Fire Service were in attendance and when they arrived the unoccupied dwelling was well alight. The fire was contained but the dwelling was totally destroyed.

Dunalley Police attended the scene along with investigators from Bellerive CIB and Forensics. Police are looking into all possibilities for the cause of the fire – it has however been deemed as suspicious. Further investigations will continue at the scene on Monday the 16^th of May 2016.

The owners of the premises were away at the time of the fire and Police have notified them of the situation. The damage is estimated at around $150,000.

Police are seeking any information in regards to any vehicles or people that may have been observed in the vicinity of 769 Primrose Sands Road between 1.45pm and 2.25pm Sunday the 15^th of May 2016. Any information can be passed onto Bellerive CIB on 6261732641 or Crimestoppers on 1300 888 000.
