Substantial Cigarette Burglary, Moonah

Overnight on Sunday 28th February 2016 a green Mitsubishi Triton duel cab utility was stolen from Glenorchy.

 

In the early hours of the morning the vehicle was used by an unknown male offender to drive to the Coles Express service station Charles Street, Moonah.  The offender forced entry to the Service Station and stole a large quantity of cigarettes before leaving in the utility.

 

The Triton utility was later located on fire at 6:30am in a construction site on Clydesdale Avenue, Glenorchy. Witnesses in the area saw a grey hatch leave the construction site shortly after the fire was started.

 

Glenorchy CIB are currently investigating the incidents and are urging anyone with information to contact police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
