Approximately 1:20am on Wednesday 5 March 2014, the Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police attended a structure fire at the Wynyard Show Grounds.

Upon their arrival the poultry shed, at the eastern side of the Show Grounds, was well alight. The fire was quickly contained by the Tasmania Fire Service.

Fire Investigators and police are currently examining the scene and investigations are continuing. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
