At approximately 11:50pm on Saturday 20th February 2016, Police and Tasmania Fire Service attended Summerhill Takeaway, Westbury Road, Summerhill regarding a structural fire.

Initial investigations revealed a red Toyota Camry had deliberately driven through the takeaway shop moments before the building was engulfed in flames.
