Tasmania Police has advised that a review will be conducted of the circumstances surrounding the strip search of a 12 year old girl during a house search where police located drugs and cash.

Deputy Commissioner Scott Tilyard said "I will be receiving a report in relation to the matter, and will base my review on facts, not speculation.

"The Commissioner will be briefing the Minister on the outcome of our review once the full circumstances are known," Mr Tilyard said.
