Approximately 3.00 pm Friday 25 February 2011 a 10 year old boy was walking south on Forbes Street, Devonport, between Steele and Archer Streets, when he was approached by a male driving a white van. 

The male told the boy to get into his vehicle before driving off. 

The van is described as being a white in colour, with a sliding door on the side, shiny caps on the wheels, and black and yellow registration plates.

The male driver is described as being approximately 20 years of age, with dark hair and tattoos on his left arm.
