Strahan Fatal Crash – Name Released

Tasmania Police have released the name of the passenger who was killed in a single vehicle crash at Strahan on Friday night, 3/10/14.

She was Chloe Michelle WALSH, 15 years from Burnie.

Miss WALSH was killed when the vehicle she was a rear seat passenger in plunged over a cliff in Strahan. She was thrown from the vehicle and died from her injuries at the scene.

A 15 year old male passenger also in the vehicle is currently in the Royal Hobart Hospital with life threatening injuries.

A third passenger, a 14 year old girl from Burnie is still undergoing treatment in the paediatric section of the North West Regional Hospital.

The driver was treated for minor injuries at the Queenstown Hospital before being released.

The investigation into the crash is on-going and anyone who may have seen or heard the vehicle in the Strahan area is urged to contact either the Strahan Police Station or Crash Investigators at the Burnie Police Station.
