At 8.48am on 24/09/17 Police observed a 25yr old woman from Beauty Point driving a stolen Holden Commodore on Invermay Rd, Invermay.

The vehicle evaded police and a short time police deployed road spikes to immobilise the vehicle.  The vehicle continued driving including on the incorrect side of the Northern Outlet into the Launceston CBD.

The female driver was located and arrested shortly after leaving the vehicle in Welman Street, Launceston.

The woman has been charged with numerous offences including dangerous driving, evading police, driving whilst disqualified, driving under the influence of drugs, stealing, and burglary.

She has been detained to appear in an out of hours Court at Launceston on 24/9/17.
