Four youths are currently assisting police with enquiries after being arrested in the Newstead area at around lunch time today. The arrests came after a stolen vehicle was spiked by police on Hobblers Bridge Road. The stolen vehicle was dumped in Campbell Street after it had been spiked and a ground search was conducted by police in the Newstead area.

“The assistance from the public in the area was invaluable in helping us find the persons we were looking for,” Sergeant Mackenzie.

Police are seeking witnesses who saw a white 1996 Holden Barina Driving in the Ravenswood/St Leonards or Newstead area at around 11:30am – 12pm today. Witnesses can contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
