Two youths have been arrested after a stolen vehicle was observed in the Rosny Hill area yesterday.

The youths were apprehended in the Meehan Range, Clarence, after the stolen vehicle evaded police earlier in the day. The vehicle, a blue Nissan Vector, was stolen as part of series of crimes in the previous 24 hours.

Bridgewater CIB have charged a 17 year old with multiple offences that include;

4 x motor vehicle stealing (Bridgewater, Claremont, Howrah and Bellerive)

1 x attempted motor vehicle stealing (Bellerive)

3 x motor vehicle burglaries (Bellerive)

2 x Stealing

2 x Evade Police

Dangerous driving

Unlicensed driving

A second youth will be summonsed for motor vehicle stealing.

Anyone who witnessed the blue Nissan vector driving on the East Derwent Highway near Geilston Bay and Lindisfarne or on the Tasman Highway near Mornington is urged to contact Police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
