Launceston Detectives are currently investigating the theft of a large quantity of diesel and unleaded fuel from the Bell Bay and Mt Direction areas.  The theft has occurred over of a period of approximately 10 days between the 20^th December 2011 and early January 2012.

Police are currently reviewing video surveillance from the area and are attempting to identify a number of vehicles witnessed in the area.

Police are requesting any person with information concerning the theft or information of persons who may have recently been attempting to privately sell diesel or unleaded fuel in bulk to contact Launceston CIBon 6336 3915 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
