On Wednesday 25 September 2013 Hobart detectives recovered a Lithgow Lee Enfield .303 bolt action rifle stolen from a burglary committed at Mornington on 10 August 2013.

The rifle was recovered during a search at an eastern shore address.  Firearm and drugs charges have been laid against a 22 year old male.  That male has been bailed to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on 30 October 2013.

Detectives are continuing their investigations and are hopeful of recovering more of the firearms stolen from the burglary at Mornington.
