At approximately 8.30pm on Monday 8 October 2012, a male patron at the Queens Head Hotel has stolen a quantity of cash from behind a counter.  A staff member challenged the thief and was consequently assaulted.  The offender was last seen running in the direction of Newdegate St, North Hobart.

Investigators are seeking the identity of the male depicted in the images that is wearing a checked shirt, blue jeans and light coloured sneakers and carrying a dark coloured backpack.
