Stealing – 9/11 Bottle shop – Brooker Inn
Police are investigating the stealing of a till from the Brooker Inn 9/11 bottleshop which occurred on Saturday evening, 25 April 2015.
At around 9.50 pm a black 1994 BMW pulled up in the driveway and two men entered the bottleshop. A third person remained in the vehicle. The two men immediately went behind the counter area and began forcibly removing the till tray from one of the registers. They left with one till tray and a 10 pack of pre-mix alcohol. The offenders left in the BMW, which was found alight in the grounds of Dominic College, Tolosa Street, Glenorchy, shortly after 10pm.
The two men were described as being between 170-175cm tall, and of medium to solid build. One was wearing a light coloured hooded top, with the hood pulled over his head and a balaclava or similar covering his face. The second man was wearing a darker hooded top, also with a balaclava covering his face. Both men were wearing similar dark coloured track suit bottoms.
Staff and customers were present at the time, but were not directly threatened nor were they harmed. No weapons were observed.
Police would like to hear from anyone with information or knowledge in relation to this incident, or anyone who saw a black 1994 BMW 318i travelling in the Northern Suburbs on Saturday night 25 April 2015. The BMW was confirmed as stolen from the Newtown area.
