On Thursday, 22 September 2016, police including Forensic Services, CIB and the Coroners Office attended bushland on the East Tamar Highway near Dilston after the discovery of human skeletal remains.

The police investigation to date has not been able to identify the deceased.

Locate with the remains was a watch which had the inscription,

     “To Dad love Maureen and Tony 1965”
