At about 2.40pm on Monday 23/1/2012 a single vehicle crash occurred on River Road between Latrobe and Ambleside.

The vehicle involved was a gold coloured Holden ute which was travelling towards Devonport when the driver lost control on a slight right curve, the left side of the vehicle travelled onto the gravel shoulder, before crossing both lanes and colliding with an embankment.  Neither occupant of the vehicle was seriously injured, both were conveyed from the scene by ambulance.

Police would like to speak with anyone who may have observed the vehicle to contact the Crash Investigation Section at the Burnie Police Station or call the Police Assistance line on 131 444.
