Earlier today a 55 year old woman was taken to DEM after a single vehicle crash on Lymington Road, Cygnet.

The woman is in a stable condition at DEM although the full extent of injuries are not known at this stage.

The cause of the crash has not been determined although it appears that poor weather may have contributed to the circumstances of the crash.

The vehicle left the road and was suspended in trees on a steep embankment.
 
The woman was driving alone at the time of the crash.

Police, SES, Tas Fire Service and Ambulance Tasmania crews coordinated an effective response to the incident.
