Single Vehicle Crash, Austins Ferry
Around 11am on Thursday 1st March 2012 a white 1995 model Ford falcon wagon was involved in a single vehicle crash whilst travelling south on Main Road, Austins Ferry.
The car collided with a power pole causing it to break and then crashed into a parked car.
The 40 year old male driver was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital and treated for suspected spinal injuries.
There were no passengers in the vehicle and no other persons were injured.
Traffic on main road was diverted between Wakehurst Road and Tavistock Road for around 2 and a half hours whilst the scene was examined and the road-way cleared. Power was also disrupted to nearby residents.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash and would like to speak with anyone who may have information regarding the vehicle’s movements prior to the crash.
