At about 2.00pm on Thursday 13th August, 2015 Police and officers from Ambulance Tasmania attended a single motorcycle crash on the Tasman Highway at Moorina.

Both people were initially taken to Launceston General Hospital. The rider was later taken to Hobart for further treatment for his injuries. Both are in a stable condition.

Initial investigations indicate that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
