Extensive investigations conducted by Glenorchy CIB detectives yesterday yielded the arrest of a 22 year old Claremont man for a number of arsons in the Claremont and Austins Ferry areas.

The male will appear in Hobart Magistrates court today charged on the following:

Arson x 3

Aggravated Burglary x 3

Stealing x 3

Motor Vehicle Stealing x 1

Destroying property x 2

Disqualified Driving x 1

Common Assault x 1

Burglary x 1

Unlawfully set fire to property x 1

Kill an animal x 1

Investigations are continuing in relation to identifying a co-offender thought to be involved.
