At approximately 9pm on Wednesday 25^th January 2012, police attended a report of a shooting in Cambridge Road, Mornington.

One adult male received superficial injuries after being shot in the face. He was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment. Uniform Police, Bellerive Criminal Investigation Branch and Forensic Services attended the scene.

Investigating police are following a specific line of enquiry and have four persons in custody assisting with the investigation.

The matter was an isolated incident and was not domestic related. There was, and remains, no danger to the general public.
