Shooting incident Ferrell Street Invermay

At about 9.45pm Saturday 30 March 2013 a 34 year old Invermay man was walking to work along Ferrell Street Invermay when he saw a number of people standing just off the street towards the end of the road.

 

One of the males yelled something out to the victim as he walked past and he kept walking and then heard a number of loud gun shots.

 

The man realised he had been shot once in the lower back and he made it back home and an ambulance was called.

 

The victim was taken to the Launceston General Hospital where he underwent surgery.

 

The victim is in a stable condition and remains in the Launceston General Hospital.
