Just after 10am on 1 January 2018 Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service responded to a shed fire at Crawford Street in Ulverstone.

Upon arrival at the scene the shed was well alight and threatening the dwelling and nearby properties. Tas Fire Service were able to quickly contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading.

The property was unoccupied at the time, no one was hurt and the shed is completely destroyed with a damage value not known as yet.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined with investigations still taking place.
