Tasmania Police have been advised by a member of the public of a shark sighting at Binalong Bay on Tasmania’a East Coast approximately 8am this morning (22/10/2015).

The shark, estimated to be between 3-4 metres long, was sighted by a surfer in the area.

Police advised Parks and Wildlife and Coastal Radio, and a Police unit was dispatched to the area.

No further sightings have been reported.
