At 11.53pm on 9 December 2016 police attended the scene of a 2 vehicle crash at the intersection of Vermont Road and Clare Street, Mowbray.

A red 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer station wagon and a black 2005 BMW 3 series were involved.

There were 4 passengers in the Mitsubishi and all 4 were taken to the LGH for treatment.

A 46yr old female passenger from the Mitsubishi is in a critical condition.

The male driver from the BMW fled the scene prior to Police arrival.

Police investigations into the identity of the second driver are continuing

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have observed either vehicle being driven in Mowbray or Ravenswood area prior to the collision.
