Approximately 7.30PM on Wednesday the 14^th of September 2016, a collision occurred between a Silver Subaru Forester and a Silver Volvo station wagon. The Volvo was being driven by a 21 year old man from Geilston Bay and was travelling toward Midway Point. At this time a Silver Subaru Forester was heading in the opposite direction being driven by a 31 year old woman from Kingston.

The drivers were the only occupants of their respective vehicles. The male driver of the Volvo received internal injuries and was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a critical condition. The female driver of the Subaru was also transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious but stable condition having sustained leg injuries.

Police would like to speak to any person who may have witnessed the crash or anyone who saw either vehicle prior to the collision.
