Serious trail bike collision – Bridgewater

 At approximately 9:00pm emergency services were called to attend to a trail bike collision occurring adjacent to the East Derwent Highway Bridgewater.

 

Attending police located 2 unregistered trail bikes, with two riders and child pillion passenger. All parties were conveyed to the Royal Hobart Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

 

Both vehicles were being utilised in a dangerous and illegal manner, at high speeds and with no lighting in a dark area.

 

Police would like to remind the public of the dangers surrounding the unlawful use of trail bikes and the injuries that may result. Police request members of the public who may of witnessed a blue and white, and a red and white trail bike in the Bridgewater area prior to the collision to call crime stoppers on 1800333000 or Bridgewater Police on 62684103.
