At 8:25pm, on Friday 4^th of May 2018, police attended the Bass Highway, Travellers Rest, in relation to a single vehicle crash.

The sole occupant of the vehicle, a 25 year old male from the Launceston area, was transported by Ambulance Tasmania to the Launceston General Hospital in a critical condition.

Initial investigations indicate that speed is a contributing factor to the crash.

Tasmania Police would like to speak with anyone who observed a white Toyota Hilux in the Prospect or Bass Highway areas around the time of the crash.
