Serious Pedestrian / Motor Vehicle Crash On Goodwood Road Goodwood
A 47 year old male from Queensland is in the Royal Hobart Hospital with serious head and chest injuries after being struck by a car.
The crash occurred at 10.50am on Sunday the 10 November 2019, on Goodwood Road, Goodwood. The driver of a Kia Sorento Hatchback involved in the crash was a 31 year old male from Oakdowns. He did not sustain any injuries as a result of the crash.
Senior Sergeant Hodge stated; “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash, or who may have seen a male person walking east along Goodwood Road near the Hobart Cabins and Cottages, opposite the Elwick Race Course, or who may have seen a white Kia Sorento travelling west on Goodwood Road.”
The driver of the Kia Sorento is assisting police with the investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
Senior Sergeant Hodge stated “Speed and alcohol does not appear to be a contributing factor. The movements of the male pedestrian prior to the crash will be part of the ongoing investigation.”
