Serious multiple vehicle crash Bass Highway

Police attended a four vehicle collision on the Bass Highway, Hagley at 5:50 pm on Tuesday 29th May 2012. 

A 52 year old female from Deloraine was driving west in a Ford Ranger utility when she was involved in a collision with a Holden Commodore station wagon, a Toyota Camry sedan and a Volkswagen Golf. 

The drivers were the only occupant of each vehicle.  The driver of the Commodore, a 37 year old female from Elizabeth Town, suffered severe injuries and is in a critical condition.  She has been airlifted to Hobart. 

The driver of the Camry, a 24 year old male from East Devonport, suffered minor injuries as did the driver of the Golf, a 26 year old female from Exton. 

The female driver of the Ranger also received minor injuries. 

Initially all drivers were transported to the Launceston General Hospital.
