At midnight on Friday 4 September 2020 police attended a serious motor vehicle crash on Tooms Lake Road, Ross. A 41-year-old female from Ross was travelling North on Tooms Lake Road in Ross driving a grey Toyota Prado 4 wheel drive when the vehicle left the roadway, collided with a power pole and subsequently rolled. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.

The driver was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a critical condition as a result of the crash.
