Serious motor vehicle crash – Runnymede

Police are investigating a serious crash on the Tasman Highway at Runnymede over the weekend.

Police attended a serious motor vehicle crash on the Tasman Highway at Break Me Neck Hill, Runnymede, about 4.40pm on Saturday 21 October.

The two vehicle involved in the crash included a white Toyota Corolla hatch and a Silver Holden Commodore station wagon.

A female passenger of the Toyota Corolla was airlifted from the crash scene and taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment. The driver of this vehicle was also transported to hospital for treatment.

The female driver and the male and female passengers of the Holden Commodore were also conveyed to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment.

Police advise that investigations are continuing and request that any members of the public who may have witnessed the crash or the driving behaviour of either vehicle prior to the crash are urged to contact Constable CUNLIFFE at the Sorell Station to provide the details on 03 6173 2988 or via 131 444.
