At about 4.10am on Sunday 27 February 2022 police and emergency services responded to a serious single vehicle crash on Railton Road near Latrobe.

The 28-year-old male driver and sole occupant of a white Toyota hatch rolled several times and was trapped in the vehicle.

He was extricated and transported to the Launceston General Hospital in a serious condition.

The road was closed for a short duration this morning, and police would like to thank members of the public for their understanding.

Tasmania Police Crash Investigation Services attended the scene and investigations are continuing to establish the cause of the crash.
