At approximately 8:30 pm on Saturday 24 May 2020, members of the Tasmania Ambulance Service and Tasmania Police attended a property on West Gawler Road, Gawler in relation to an incident involving a motor vehicle.

This incident occurred on a private property where a small gathering of people was in attendance. This gathering complied with current COVID-19 restrictions.

As a result of the incident, a 20-year-old Ulverstone woman has fallen from the rear tray of a vehicle in which she was travelling on and suffered serious injuries.

She was airlifted to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a critical condition.

This matter is being investigated by Tasmania police.
