Police and Ambulance officers attended a motorcycle crash at Roberts Road Kaoota at around 8:30pm on Wednesday 20/2/2013.

A small trail bike was being ridden by a 33 year old male from Kaoota when it appears the rider lost control on the gravel roadway before crashing into a wire fence.

The rider sustained head injuries and he remains in the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious condition.   Initial investigations indicate that the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Anyone who saw the vehicle prior to the crash or anyone with information relating to the crash is asked to contact Kingston Police on 62118000.
