A 31 year old male from Warrane is in the Royal Hobart Hospital in a critical condition after a single vehicle crash on East Derwent Highway at Otago Bay on Tuesday the 19th day of July 2011 at 10.45pm.

The injured male was a front seat passenger in a white Kia Sportage which was being driven in a northerly direction by a 39 year old female from Warrane.

In the vicinity of the northern junction of Otago Bay Road the driver has lost control of the vehicle and it has rolled a number of times.  The passenger was ejected from the vehicle before it came to rest.  The driver wasn’t injured.

The crash investigator, Sergeant Rod Carrick, would like to hear from any member of the public who may have witnessed the crash or seen the vehicle immediately prior to the incident.
