Serious crash Midland Highway, Tunbridge
At 15:51 hours on Sunday 8th February 2015, Emergency services were advised of a serious two vehicle crash on the Midland Highway, just north of Tunbridge.
Police, Tasmania Fire Service, SES and Tasmania Ambulance Service all attended.
A Hyundai Tuscon travelling north has collided with a Toyota Corolla heading south in a 110 km/ph speed zone.
All six people involved, two from the Hyundai and four from the Toyota were transported to the Royal Hobart hospital, with two listed as serious but stable.
The most seriously injured person was air lifted in the Westpac Police rescue helicopter which was nearby on other duties.
Investigations into the cause of the crash have commenced.
