Approximately 08.23 hours on Tuesday 1^st  July 2014 a bicycle and car collided on Main Road, Glenorchy just north of Grove Road.

A silver Subaru wagon was being driven North by 34 year old woman from New Town.  Seated in the rear of this vehicle were two young children.

The driver of the Subaru has turned into the driveway entrance of a child care facility, at this time the vehicle has collided with a bicycle rider which was travelling south bound. The bicycle was being ridden by a 53 year old man from Mount Stuart.

The bicycle rider was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital and his condition is listed as stable with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Subaru and the children were not injured as a result of the crash.

At the time of the crash traffic was heavy.
