Serious Crash Lauderdale

A 32 year old man from Lauderdale is in the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious but stable condition after having been struck by a motor vehicle while riding his motorcycle towards Rokeby on the South Arm Rd at Lauderdale.

The crash occurred in the vicinity of the Lauderdale Doctors Surgery at about 7.30pm on Wednesday 29 May 2013. 

It appears that a white Mitsubishi Utility being driven by a 52 year old man from Sandford, has crossed the centre line of the road into the oncoming lane and collided with a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction. The driver of the utility was not injured.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash and would like to hear from any members of the public who may have witnessed the incident.
