At 3.18pm on Monday 18/02/13 a serious crash has occurred on the Lake Leake Road, 23.2 kilometres south east of Campbell Town.

A silver 2009 Toyota Yaris sedan has been driven south east, by a 65 year old female from Bicheno.  A red 1998 Honda VFR800 motorcycle, has been travelling toward the Toyota being ridden by a 51 year old male from New South Wales.  The motorcycle has crossed to the incorrect side of the roadway colliding with the Toyota sedan.  As a result of the crash the motorcycle caught fire. 

The rider of the motorcycle was conveyed to the Launceston General Hospital in a critical condition.  The driver of the Toyota sedan was also conveyed to hospital with minor injuries.

Speed is considered to be factors in the crash at this stage.
