Serious Crash – Huon Highway
A 24 year old Geeveston man is in a critical condition in the Royal Hobart Hospital after a two vehicle crash on the Huon Highway this morning at about 6.30am. The crash disrupted traffic for approximately 4 hours.
The Geeveston man was driving a white Toyota utility in a northerly direction on the Huon Highway. The vehicle crossed to the incorrect side of the road and collided head-on with a black Ford Falcon sedan which was travelling in a southerly direction. The driver of the Falcon a 29 year old man from Blackmans Bay was also conveyed by ambulance to the Royal Hobart Hospital. His condition is listed as serious and stable.
Both drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles.
The crash investigator, Sergeant Rod Carrick, would like to hear from any member of the public who may have witnessed the crash or seen the vehicles immediately prior to the incident.
