Approximately 4:30pm on Saturday 9^th November, 2019, police and emergency services were called to the scene of a serious two vehicle crash between a 4WD and an off-road motorcycle on Browns Creek Road, Bakers Beach.

The 25 year old male motorcycle rider was transported to the Launceston General Hospital by ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries.  The 38 year old male driver of the 4WD from Turners Beach and his 17 year old male passenger were uninjured in the crash.

Speed, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash, however both the rider and driver underwent mandatory blood tests for alcohol and illicit drugs. The motorcycle rider was wearing full protective gear.

Police investigations are continuing.
